Kenya Cup Round Up

With the curtain having fallen on the Bamburu Rugby Super Series, the 2008 Kenya Cup league kicked off at various venues in Nairobi.

 

Former multiple champions Nondescripts RFC were on the receiving end of a 20-3 defeat to visiting Nakuru RFC at the Jamhuri Park.

 

Newcomers Strathmore University gave a good account of themselves in their debut Kenya Cup match, giving Kenya Harlequin a run for their money before losng out 10-29 in a match played at the RFUEA Grounds.

 

Impala RFC registered the weekend's highest score, running out 67-12 winners over Mombasa Sports Club at the Impala Club.

 

Mean Machine, coached by former KCB tactician Michael "Tank" Otieno beat Impala Floodlit winners Mwamba RFC 25 -15 in a match played at the Railways Club.

 

Champions KCB had no fixture and enter the fray this weekend when they face off with Strathmore University at the Nairobi School.
