It's fifth time lucky for the Lions

After finishing runners up in 2004,2005,2006 and 2007,the Multipurpose Lions finally got their hands on the Bamburi Rugby Super Series trophy with a 33-9 mauling of the Rhinos as the curtain came down on the five week tournament.

Three Lions players won various individual awards. Fullback Mark Mshilla emerged the BRSS top points scorer with 41 points. Frankline " Stooge" Amiani was joint top try scorer with the Sharks' Wilson K'Opondo, touching down four times while flanker Methuselah Odongo won the BRSS man of the match award for an authoritative display at flank in the match against the Rhinos.

From KCB Rugby, its "well in" to the Lions captained by Paul Murunga and coached by Bill Githinji.
