The committee of KCB rugby club have announced that the team will start their pre-season training early on Tuesday, 4th December, 2007. Traditionally pre-season training begins for most clubs on the second week of January but the committee said that the season of 2008 according to the draft fixtures released by the union on 8th November, 2007 indicate that the season opening Impala Floodlit tournament begins on 2nd February and the Super Series is scheduled for 1st March which does not leave much time in terms of proper preparation therefore early pre-season sessions was the best solution in order to get the team well prepared. KCB are the holders of the Floodlit, Kenya Cup, Enterprise Cup and Black Rock trophies of the 2007 season and finished 4th overall in the national sevens circuit. The committee welcomes all old and new players to the Lions Den where training will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. They also stated that recruitment was underway.
