Nakuru wait for the Lions

KCB Lions play their second match of the 2007 Kenya Cup league on Saturday 10th March 2007 when they face giant killers Nakuru RFC at the Nakuru Athletic Club.

The Lions who began their campaign with a 26-3 win away to Mombasa, will be taking this match seriously considering the fact that the newly promoted Nakuru side stunned former Kenya Cup champions Impala RFC 8-6 in their opening fixture on 3rd March 2007 at the same venue.

KCB captain Paul "Pau" Murunga has likend Saturday's clash to a war and is rallying his troops ahead of the crunch tie.

The squad to face Nakuru will be named after a training session on Thursday at the Lions' Den in Ruaraka.




KCB II BEGIN ERIC SHIRLEY CAMPAIGN

Three time Mwamba Cup champions KCB II begin their quest for the second division Eric Shirley Shield with a fixture away to Nakuru II on Saturday 10th March 2007 at Nakuru Athletic Club.The match kicks off at 3.00pm.

KCB II who won the title in 2004,will be keen to make a good start to this year's campaign after two heart breaking semi final losses in 2005 and 2006.They have in their ranks seasoned players such as John Ojara,Moses Ndale and Walter Omole who are expected to guide the younger players who have recently joined the side.

The travelling party will be named on Thursday after a training session at the Lions' Den.
