Lions hunting for a second Impala Floodlit title

Having emerged victorious in 2005 when they beat Impala RFC in the final,KCB Lions will be looking for a second Impala Floodlit title when they face off with Mwamba RFC in the final of this year's tourney at the Impala Club on Saturday 24th February at 7.30pm.

Recent matches between the two sides have been entertaining affairs. In 2005,"Kulabu",as Mwamba are popularly known, knocked out the then Enterprise Cup holders 21-18 in the Enterprise Cup semi final. In 2006,Mwamba held the Lions to a 27-27 draw in the opening round of the Kenya Cup league that KCB went on to retain.

Based on this, the Lions are approaching Saturday's final very seriously, not taking Mwamba lightly.

Head coach Michael Otieno named his 22 man squad for the crunch clash against Mwamba after a training session last night at the Lions Den in Ruaraka.
