Great Rift Tens: Strath lead KCB,Nakuru and Mwambo into semis

Defending champions Strathmore Leos have led three other teams in qualifying for the 2010 Great Rift Ten-A-side rugby tournament currently ongoing in Nakuru.

Mitch Ocholla's charges had to endure stubborn resistance from Kenyatta University Blak Blad, scraping through with a 12-5 win.

Nivea for Men Quins and Kenya Commercial Bank RFC, both fielding development sides by virtue of resting their seasoned players ahead of next week's Kenya Cup semi finals gave the crowd some anxious moments, playing to a 7-5 result in favour of KCB.

Mwamba RFC qualified for the courtesy of a hard fought 12-5 win over Resolution Health Impala RFC who also sent a development side as they prepare for Kenya Cup semi final action on Saturday April 10th 2010.

Hosts Nakuru RFC labored to a 12-5 win over Mean Machine, summing up a quarter final session characterized by close scores, big hits and plenty of adrenalin filled action.
