Quins through to Enterprise Cup Final

By Maik Kwambo

Trailing 0-3 at half time, Kenya Harlequin recovered to beat Kenya
Commercial Bank RFC 16-6 at the Lions Den in Ruaraka, booking a place
in the Enterprise Cup final.

The two sides were meeting in a rare semi final replay after the
original fixture ended in an 8-8 stalemate at the RFUEA on Saturday
10th October.

Peter Mutai put the bankers ahead with a first half penalty, a lead
that they would take into the breather. He would add a second penalty
in the second half, KCB's only points of this closely fought
encounter.

Quins responded with second half points from Jude Thumbi who kicked
over two penalties and Dennis Muhanji added another penalty.Leon
Adongo scored a try that Thumbi converted for a famous 16-6 final
result.

This result sets up a Ngong' Road derby on Saturday 24th October when
newly crowned Kenya Cup champions Impala RFC face Quins in the battle
for what is arguably the oldest competition in Kenyan sport.
