The 2009 Enterprise Cup enters the semi final stage on Saturday 3rd October with defending champions Nakuru RFC hosting newly crowned Kenya Cup champions Impala RFC at the Nakuru Athletic Club while Kenya Harlequin FC play host to Kenya Commercial Bank RFC at the RFUEA.
The Wanyore began their title defence with a 24-5 over Nondescripts RUFC at their Nakuru backyard while Impala put paid to Mean Machine's title ambitions courtesy of that slim 19-12 win at the University of Nairobi. Quins were simply too strong for Mwamba RFC, running off with a comprehensive 33-13 win over Kulabu. KCB made it to the semi final with a big 41-7 win over the Strathmore Leos.
That these four sides are in the Enterprise Cup semis is no surprise. They were the form teams in the just concluded Kenya Cup,claiming the top four positions and it is clear that they have carried their form into this tournament.Judging by the close competition amongst these four sides during league action, Saturday's semi final clashes look set to be closely contested ties.
