Another away win keeps the Lions in contention

The Lions are still unbeaten away from home in the 2009 KenyaCup.Tries from Anthony Ogot and Phil Wamae complimented with eight points from the boot of Peter Mutai courtesy of two penalties and a conversion saw the Lions score a vital 18-12 win over home side and reigning champions Kenya Harlequin FC at the RFUEA on match day 13 .

With one round left, the win ensures that the Lions stay second on 45 points, just a point behind leaders Impala RFC who edged out visiting Nakuru RFC 14-13 to take their tally to 46 points.Quins gathered a bonus point for going down by less than seven points and with 41 points, have to rely on mathematics to defend their title.

The Lions travel to Nakuru to face home side Nakuru RFC in their final fixture on Saturday 26th September 2009.
