Lions fall in plate final as Mwamba win Driftwood

The Lions fell 7-10 to Kenya Harlequin in the plate final as the curtain fell on the Driftwood Sevens with Mwamba's 46-0 demolition of Strathmore University in the main cup final.

The Lions had earlier fallen 7-24 to Nondies in the main cup quarter finals and had qualified for the plate final with a 10-5 win over fellow main cup quarter finalists Impala.

The Lions have been to the semi final and quarter final of the first two rounds of the Western Union National Sevens Circuit and will resume their hunt for silverware when the circuit lands in Nairobi for the Kenya Harlequin Christie Sevens on October 25th-26th at the RFUEA.

"l think coach githinji has done agreat, despite loosing both the kenya cup and enterprise cup,you must remember he won for the first time the bamburi cup and has discovered new talent for the first team from the second team something tank didn't have, firthermore kcb 's game has been added some flare"
