It was a bad day at the office for KCB RFC as the Kenya Cup and Eric Shirley Shield leagues resumed after a break for the Super Series and Chairmans's Cup respectively.
In the Eric Shirley Shield,KCB II looked disjointed and a 16-5 loss to Kenya Harlequin II was the end result in the match played at the RFUEA grounds on Ngong' Road.Issa Chibole scored the lone try for the Cubs.
The main fixture was the Kenya Cup clash between league leaders Kenya Harlequin RFC and reigning champions KCB RFC.Jude Thumbi put Quins ahead with a penalty but the outstanding Derek Wamalwa put KCB ahead with a try that was converted by Peter Mutai.From there,the bankers dominated but couldn't translate domiantion to points.A late Quins rally saw them score a try and a conversion by Jude Thumbi secured the win for the Quins.Final score 10-7 to Kenya Harlequin.
